Experience a memorable evening of good food and good times. Travel back in time via horse-drawn wagons through high mountain forest to Montana’s all green Moose Mountain Cabin. This hand crafted cabin features locally sourced lumber from Last Chance Ranch as well as solar electricity.
The Last Chance Lodge is a place for relaxation, recreation, and exploration. At Last Chance Ranch explore this homestead location filled with wildlife, history, and activities. The lodge sits on 80 acres of private property and is surrounded by Helena National Forest.

The ranch is about 9 miles from the L & C library and should take about 25 minutes. Take Park Ave (also called W. Main) to split in road. Veer left on Orofino Gulch. Road winds up past Unionville. When road turns to dirt, go 1.1 miles to a junction and mail boxes, then continue straight on uphill road approx. 2.4 mi up hill and drop over the top and down 3/4 mile to the N. Fork Travis Creek Rd. Turn right.
Go 1 mile, then bear left, at the “LCR” sign (Last Chance Ranch). Go 2/10th mile to the LCR sign on the left hand side of the road on a fence post. Behind the sign is the code box 1-2-3-4 The gate is the right. You will see “Last Chance Ranch” headgate ahead and push the doorbell button on the fence post before the gate and follow the signs to the wagons.PS. The gates are a little slow to start opening so wait a few seconds before pushing the button again or you will cancel the cycle.
